Yesterday was Hien’s 13th birthday. Hien is an inventor of this erasable backpack. Instead of getting presents for his birthday, Hien & I (his father) drove to Stanford Children Hospital to donate 10 erasable backpacks to the kids who are bravely fighting cancer and are doing art as a part of therapy organized by Kids & Art Foundation in Burlingame. Hien was a bit disappointed that he didn’t get to doodle with those kids due to hospital regulation. We believe that those kids will put these backpacks to good use because they can now create art on the go with their backpacks (one thing most kids have with them most of the time) whenever they are overwhelmed with stress or anxiety. The portable art therapy backpack is there to keep them company.
